Jemma and I worked together as entertainment hosts back in 2006 on the last 4 months of my first ever contract. I had worked with another team for the first 6, and was the only member to stay behind to see out the rest of the season. It was sad for me to see them go at first, but Jemma remains one of the nicest people I ever met over the years, and made me forget all about my other team shortly after jumping on board.
She has gone on to become a mother, is now a part time student, and works for the council doing social work for youth justice.
She mentions how much the teenagers enjoy the teen club, as they don't want to be with their parents on the cruise.
We had a lot of memories to share and laugh about, including some things I would have preferred not to be reminded of, but that's all part of the fun here on DeckTales. She playfully mentioned how she used to have to give me a heads-up before coming back to the cabin. She also brought up the time when I was wrapped in toilet paper like a mummy. Back when I was 19, I was quite naive. I believe it's important to be able to chuckle at the past, and this particular episode may reveal some of the more embarrassing moments from my early adulthood.
